I'm happy to say that I think my hatred for my birthday has turned a corner. I almost forgot that my birthday was coming up this year. It snuck up on me & it was a great one! I planned a couple things for the day after when Dan could get the day off (Thank you babe, I know that probably wasn't easy to ask for another day off Call for me :) I really appreciate it!!). I got my tooth fixed up on the day before my birthday, chatted with my sister and had some lunch with her. Then headed down to Hood River area to meet up with Dan when he got off work. I hadn't slept all day so it was fairly uneventful and involved a whole lot of sleeping for me :) What's new!?
Friday. I had breakfast with my baby... it was perfect just to be with him. No expectations. Altho He made me eggs, toast and Iced coffee & he surprised me with a necklace. aww... can you believe him? He went on etsy of all things. It's so pretty!!
We went to Multonomah falls on the way into portland, got some lunch and then walked around downtown Portland by the waterfront & Saturday Market while we waited for 5pm to roll around for our dinner reservation.
We met up with Andrea, a friend who is living in Portland at the moment, but works at the same hospital as me on a different floor. She & Dan are good friends. She's awesome! Crossing my fingers for her that she can find a job in Oregon too! That would be fun.
FINALLY FOUND myself a fire escape I can Reach!!! I have been looking for one for YEARS!! And little did I know it was so close to the awesomest restaurant ever....Urban Fondue!!
We had the complete "Fondue Experience" including cheese, meat entree, yummy dessert and a surprisingly good pineapple mojito!
Then we finished up at Rogue Brewery for a taste test and some chatting before we headed back.
Awesome days! Miss my guy already though.
